Where do we go when we arrive?
DANCER CHECK-IN
Upon arrival dancers are asked to check in to receive their dancer bracelet for the weekend. This gives them access to backstage as well as the dressing rooms.
STUDIO DIRECTOR CHECK-IN
Teacher passes and chaperone passes will be included in the Studio Director bag. If you wish for an instructor to pick up the bag instead of you, please let us know before the event so we can release those passes to that person. Chaperones can get their passes from their studio director.
Where can we park?
VENUE PARKING & ENTRANCE
The entrance to Riverview Arts Centre is a one way street. When you first pull in there is a stretch of road before you come to a parking lot on the right hand side. If you keep straight there is another parking lot up ahead on the left. If there are no spaces in either parking lot you can continue straight and there is a dirt parking lot at the end of the road. When you go to leave the facility make sure you continue along the road as the exit is different than the entrance.
What is the policy on dressing rooms?
DRESSING ROOMS
We ask that only teachers, designated chaperones and dancers enter the dancer area. Chaperone passes will be given to Studio Directors to distribute in their Director's bag. A parent/guardian of young dancers may escort their children to the dressing room and are not permitted to stay unless they've been given a chaperone pass by their studio director. Absolutely no males are to enter the dressing rooms unless they are a registered dancer or teacher.
Please refrain from having food and beverage in the dressing room area.
Dancers, teachers and studio directors are responsible for their designated areas in the dressing rooms and are asked to tidy up their area before leaving each night.
What are the rules for backstage?
BACKSTAGE RULES
SOLO/DUO/TRIO/QUAD: When a category contains mainly solos, duos and trios we will allow some dancers to come backstage with them to watch from the wings. We love hearing all of the dancers cheer for the other routines!
GROUP ROUTINES: when there are group routines on next or if the category mainly contains groups, dancers will not be permitted to watch backstage and are asked to line up in the hallway at least 3 routines before theirs. We want to ensure that each group has the space they need to line up in the wing and that there is no one in the way if they have to run off and on. Our backstage crew will monitor the sessions to use their judgement on when dancers can be backstage and when they can't. Your cooperation with this is much appreciated! For those dancers who want to see their teammates, we will have a TV set up in the dancer area for dancers to watch with the livestream if they're unable to do it from the wing.

Friday November 1: 4:30pm
